The A330 P2F Program - future of EFW's conversion business

Based on the success of the A300/A310P2F conversion program with more than 190 freighter aircraft redelivered worldwide, the next generation of Airbus medium widebody freighter conversions is ready to take over – the A330-200/-300P2F. In 2012, the framework agreements for the A330P2F EFW program launch with ST Aerospace were signed. As MRO center of STA, EFW will become the Center of Competence for freighter conversion and also focal point for aircraft maintenance. EFW has applied for the A330 P2F STC with EASA. In cooperation with EFW Engineering, ST Aerospace has complete design responsibility until reward of the EASA STC to the EFW Design Organization who will then take over design and conversion responsibility providing support engineering for conversion and a variety of design work packages. In service of the A330 P2F as backbone of the new Airbus freighter family is scheduled from 2017 onwards.
