Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH develops, manufactures and supplies fiber-reinforced lightweight components for Airbus aircrafts with a high percentage of customized products. Figures speak for themselves: approximately 50,000 different geometric forms and 150 combinations of material have to be handled for manufacturing so called ‘sandwich panels’. The product portfolio ranges from floor panels to partition walls up to bulletproof cockpit doors – applications with very different, but demanding requirements.
“EFW is very proud and honored to receive the prestigious Airbus Performance & Quality Award 2019”, says Andreas Sperl, CEO & President of EFW. “I am accepting this award on behalf of all our employees in Dresden and Kodersdorf, who day after day dedicate themselves to meet the high requirements of Airbus. EFW is part of the Airbus journey for more than 25 years. Our relationship developed into a close but always challenging partnership – the corner stone for achieving outstanding performance. We will do everything we can to also meet the high Airbus standards in future.”
The company achieved cross programs an outstanding 99.5% for on time delivery, while guaranteeing an A Rating quality level for the components supplied to Airbus for an extended period of time. In April 2019 EFW received already a Best Performer ‘SQUIP’ Award of Airbus with regards to its composites.
